10 ways to reuse your heavy sarees

When it comes to an old silk saree everyone feels nostalgic and ends up saving the silk sarees for ages no matter however old it might be.

There are emotions attached with those sarees. These are memories. More than anything they are expensive and rare.๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

So whenever we see a silk saree, we think about how to re-purpose them but frankly speaking we can neither wear them nor give them to anyone.

So in this blog I am going to share with you the ways we can treasure our old memories.
Below are the list of ideas:

1. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบLehenga ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

If you have a kanjivaram or a banarasi saree then be happy, because you are having the best fabric for a beautiful lehenga. Whichever fabric has a brocade feel to it makes a beautiful lehenga.
You can just never go wrong with it. Since these sarees have lot of shimmer in it they make perfect party wears.
You can always go with a heavy bottom with many different types of tops, for example:
Crop top
Front slit top
Front double slit top
Anarkali kurta
A-line kurta

OMG the list is never ending, as long as you match the top perfectly the lehenga can be paired with n. number of tops.

2. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบKurta๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

Heavy sarees can also be used for designing beautiful tops. But remember if you have heavy hands then do not go for full sleeves because that will make your hands much more heavier and you will look unnecessarily bulky.
And if you cannot wear sleeveless like me (just because you are not used to it) then go for sleeves made up of brasso or net or any other matching light weight fabric.
Also if you are wearing a top made with heavy saree them do not wear heavy bottom, try to keep it simple and light. End of the day we don't wanna look like someone from bands.๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ
Different types of tops that you can design with heavy sarees are
Peplum top
Crop top
A line top
Front slit kurta
Front double slit kurta

All you need to do is separate the border and cut out a 2.5× 1 meter cloth from the sarees and attach the border around the big cloth or if you want to keep it simple, u can attach the border to only ends. That's all, a super elegant dupatta is ready.

4. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบJacket๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

To give a dash of ethnic look to your outfit all you need to do is pair your jeans, lehenga, shorts, skirt or anything for that matter with a jacket . All you need to do is just include a stylish jacket.
